Accommodation at the BC Games

All participants stay in schools, which are set up with gyms and equipment for activities. Accommodation sites at the BC Games are a unique chance to meet other athletes and make new friends from other zones and sports.

Each school is staffed by BC Games volunteers who have dedicated their time and energy to help make the event memorable, so make sure to thank them when you can!

FAMOUS GAMES MATS

Each Games participant gets a famous Games foam mat. It’s not luxurious but it’s part of the BC Games experience! Don’t forget to pack your sleeping bag and pillow.

KEEPING CLEAN AT THE GAMES

Showers are provided either at schools or sport venues with coaches helping to coordinate. Make sure you bring a bathings suit, a towel, your favourite soap, and anything else you need for your showering routine!

SCANNING IN AND OUT

A badge scanning system has been implemented to keep participants safe and sound in accommodation. Curfew is 11:00 pm at the latest for everyone and badges must be scanned by accommodation staff before that time.

MEALS AND SNACKS

Breakfast and dinner are served in centralized locations for all participants, while bagged lunches are provided at sport venues or accommodations depending on your sport’s schedule!

LEAVING ACCOMMODATIONS

Participants are expected to remain in accommodation for the duration of the Games. Leaving accommodation early, unless under unique circumstances, will result in removal from competition.
