These Games mark the 33rd BC Winter Games and the 3rd time that the Games have been held in the area.

The region successfully hosted the 1982 and 2006 BC Winter Games, the 1996 BC Summer Games, and the 2011 BC Seniors Games.

By the Numbers

The BC Winter Games are held every two years, providing a competitive multi-sport environment that supports the development of participants as they move on to higher levels of competition.

1,500+ volunteers will
be involved.
1,200 athletes are
expected to attend.
15 sports will take part
in the Winter Games.
200,000 meals will be
prepared by volunteers.
